La DGTIC, a través de la intervención del doctor Rafael Fernández Flores, participó en el “Seminario de Análisis y Desarrollo para una Docencia Integral y Renovada (SADDIR)” de la Escuela Nacional Preparatoria (ENP).

El SADDIR se realiza una vez al año en alguna sede de la ENP, con la participación de docentes del Colegio de Informática. En esta ocasión, se llevó a cabo en el Plantel 3 “Justo Sierra”.

Como primera actividad, Fernández Flores ofreció una plática sobre el ciclo de charlas “Ciencia, Conciencia y Café”, un espacio creado en la década de los 90 al que han asistido personalidades universitarias como Elena Poniatowska, René Drucker o el exrector Guillermo Soberón, para compartir sus puntos de vista sobre el papel de la tecnología en la sociedad, la literatura y la educación, entre otros.

Por la tarde, el académico adscrito a la Dirección de Colaboración y Vinculación (DCV) impartió un taller formativo sobre Wolfram Mathematica, en el que las y los profesores asistentes utilizaron la licencia del software a la que tienen acceso por ser integrantes de la comunidad UNAM.

De manera general, se presentaron algunas de las características de este programa, como la interacción del usuario con el cuaderno (notebook) de Mathematica, la forma de hacer cálculos algebraicos para simplificar una ecuación o la manera de encontrar sus raíces.

También se mostraron las capacidades gráficas del software para crear objetos de aprendizaje, con ejemplos reproducidos por los asistentes en sus equipos de cómputo. Además, se les invitó a conocer Wolfram Demonstrations, un repositorio en el que pueden encontrar material útil para sus clases y al que es posible contribuir con sus propios desarrollos.

Para finalizar, explicó las capacidades de Mathematica para conectarse a sensores vía Arduino o Raspberry y manejar los datos obtenidos.

La participación del doctor Rafael Fernández Flores es un ejemplo del compromiso de la DGTIC y sus académicos con la formación y el desarrollo profesional de los docentes de la UNAM.

Hoy en día los datos son uno de los activos más importantes de las organizaciones. Gracias a la adopción de entornos digitales, el almacenamiento y la gestión de la información se han convertido en aspectos esenciales a los que se debe prestar más atención para comprender su valor. 

En la sesión “Gestión de datos en entornos híbridos” del Seminario TIC, el maestro José Luis Chiquete Valdivieso, experto en cómputo en la nube e ingeniería de datos y arquitecto de Google Cloud, indicó que ahora es necesario un gran nivel de especialización para aprovechar los datos adecuadamente. 

“El grave problema es que no conocemos lo que tenemos y no sabemos a lo que podemos acceder. Tenemos datos, pero no tenemos ni información ni conocimiento, y es ahí donde hablamos de data management”, advirtió. 

El ciclo de vida de los datos pasa por el almacenamiento, el procesamiento (limpieza), el análisis, la distribución, el uso y la eliminación o archivado. Cada uno de estos niveles supone un reto para las organizaciones, y depende de personas con distintos niveles de especialización.

“Los datos son poder. En este momento, en el siglo XXI, tener la información adecuada, en el momento adecuado, nos permite salvar vidas, salvar negocios y sostener economías”, destacó. 

Como muchos otros expertos en el tema, Chiquete Valdivieso toma como guía las prácticas y estándares de la organización DAMA (Data Management Association), encargada de la publicación de DMBok, un libro de conocimientos enfocado a la gestión de datos en el que se propone un marco de trabajo estructurado de acuerdo con el tratamiento y procesamiento de la información de una organización. 

El objetivo de la gestión de datos es ejecutar acciones que beneficien a la organización a través de decisiones tomadas con conocimiento.

El Encuentro universitario de mejores prácticas de uso de TIC #educatic, organizado por la Dirección de Innovación en Tecnologías para la Educación (DITE) de la DGTIC, en colaboración con otras entidades universitarias, celebra 10 años de fomentar el intercambio de experiencias en el ámbito educativo.

A lo largo de una década, este encuentro ha servido como punto de convergencia para una comunidad docente comprometida con la integración de tecnologías digitales en los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje. A través de la reflexión y el intercambio de experiencias, se han abordado diversos ejes temáticos con un enfoque central: la búsqueda de mejores formas de integrar las TIC para potenciar el aprendizaje de los estudiantes.

Desde sus inicios, #educatic ha tenido como objetivo principal generar una reflexión sistemática sobre la práctica docente, compartiendo no solo experiencias, sino también el sustento académico de las mismas. Se ha buscado ir más allá de la anécdota para fundamentar el quehacer profesional con bases sólidas.

En un contexto marcado por el constante avance tecnológico, se busca resaltar la importancia del papel de las y los profesores en el aprendizaje de los estudiantes, bajo la premisa de que la intervención y mediación docente son fundamentales para activar los procesos cognitivos y afectivos involucrados en el aprendizaje. 

Es esta mediación la que da sentido al uso de la tecnología para formar jóvenes críticos, creativos y capaces de pensar y transformar el mundo en el que vivimos. Como se ha sostenido desde el primer encuentro, lo humano da valor a lo tecnológico.

Para inaugurar el décimo encuentro, la conferencia magistral titulada «Mira quién te escribe. Inteligencia Artificial, una idea del hombre y sus consecuencias», será impartida por el doctor Ernesto Priani Saisó, filósofo, humanista digital y profesor en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras (FFyL) de la UNAM. 

El evento se llevará a cabo de manera presencial el martes 23 de julio a las 11:00 horas en el Auditorio Dr. Manuel Sánchez Rosado de la Escuela Nacional de Trabajo Social (ENTS) de la UNAM.

Como parte de las acciones para conmemorar el Mes del Orgullo LGBTIQ+ 2024, la doctora Tania Jimena Hernández Crespo, experta en estudios de género de la Coordinación para la Igualdad de Género (CIGU) de la UNAM, compartió con la comunidad DGTIC los conceptos necesarios para entender las formas actuales de identidad derivadas de rasgos sexo-genéricos. 

Durante la charla titulada “Conceptos básicos sobre la Igualdad de Género”, Hernández Crespo explicó que el concepto género surgió con el feminismo anglosajón, como una forma de visibilizar y ampliar un fenómeno que hasta hace poco se había visto de forma binaria, es decir, hombre-mujer. 

“Siempre estamos conviviendo con este orden binario de género como una especie de mandatos ordenadores de la vida; y ahí hay una tensión y la idea es romperla. Romper los mandatos para ver que en realidad el mundo es muchísimo más diverso de lo que nos han enseñado a ver”, señaló. 

De acuerdo con la experta, el concepto de género se refiere a todos los atributos y conjuntos sociales, culturales, históricos que constituyen nuestra identidad y nuestra expresión en relación a ser hombre, mujeres o diversidades. 

Explicó que el género es una construcción que proviene de cinco momentos: la asignación de un sexo al momento de nacer; el rol de género, relacionado con la carga social que se otorga a cada sexo; la identidad de género, que comienza cuando niñas y niños se dan cuenta de cómo se organiza el mundo y se reconocen a sí mismos como uno u otro; la expresión de género, relacionada con la manera de adscribir comportamientos y una estética particular; y la orientación sexual erótica-afectiva, relacionada con la elección del objeto amoroso. 

El rechazo que manifiestan muchas personas a comprender temas relacionados con el género proviene de una ruptura con el sistema sexo-género que establece una distinción binaria y jerárquica. “Cuando algo no nos gusta, la mente lo niega, y eso es lo que tenemos que combatir cuando trabajamos género”, indicó.  

Como muestra, compartió algunos datos de la composición de la UNAM, recogidos por la CIGU durante la pandemia, en donde se muestra que la brecha en la presencia de hombres y mujeres se agudiza conforme se llega a los niveles de mayor prestigio en la universidad. Profesores de asignatura, profesores de carrera, investigadores asociados y, especialmente, investigadores titulares, son los cargos en los que más predominan los hombres; mientras que en los cargos inferiores sí existe una proporción similar. 

“El género es una estructura que ordena las estructuras de la sociedad, es un principio organizador de la vida social, a partir de la cual las categorías de lo femenino y lo masculino son fuentes de desigualdad”, criticó.

En cumplimiento de los Lineamientos para la Integración, Conformación y Registro de los Comités de Ética en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, el pasado 19 de junio se instauró formalmente el Comité de Ética de la DGTIC, en una reunión encabezada por su titular, doctor Héctor Benítez Pérez.

Los comités de ética de las entidades académicas y dependencias universitarias se entienden como órganos colegiados, permanentes o transitorios, especializados y coadyuvantes con las autoridades universitarias, cuyo compromiso es vigilar las prácticas de honestidad e integridad académica y científica.

La maestra Cristina Múzquiz Fragoso fue nombrada presidenta del Comité, mientras que la doctora Ana Yuri Ramírez Molina asumirá el cargo de secretaria. Las y los vocales son: 

• Mtra. María de Lourdes Velázquez Pastrana 
• Ing. José Leopoldo Vega Correa 
• Dra. Marcela Peñaloza Báez 
• Lic. Eprin Varas Gabrelian 
• Mtro. Miguel Ángel Villanueva Vélez 

Mediante la emisión de voto universal, libre, directo, secreto, personal e intransferible, el 13 de mayo se llevó a cabo la elección electrónica para designar a los representantes del personal académico de la DGTIC ante el Comité de Ética, para el periodo 2024-2027. 

Con el objetivo de garantizar la transparencia e imparcialidad del proceso electoral, se contó con la supervisión de la Comisión de Vigilancia y del Consejo Asesor, que avalaron la elección de los académicos Araceli Casas Cordero y Gerardo Vega Hernández. 

Todos los representantes desempeñarán sus funciones conforme a las disposiciones establecidas en la Guía de Funcionamiento Interno del Comité de Ética de la DGTIC.

El pasado 17 de junio, la DGTIC, a través de la Dirección de Innovación en Tecnologías para la Educación (DITE), inauguró el Laboratorio de Aprendizaje Digital (LAD UNAM), un proyecto que se enmarca en el eje y línea programática 3.18.2 del Plan de Desarrollo Institucional (PDI) 2023-2027.

Gestionado por el Departamento de Recursos Digitales para la Educación de la DITE, este nuevo espacio está dedicado a probar y evaluar el desarrollo de recursos tecnológicos, con el objetivo de satisfacer las necesidades de aprendizaje de los estudiantes universitarios y generar evidencias concretas sobre su impacto en el aprendizaje en diversas áreas del conocimiento.

LAD UNAM opera en el área que hasta ahora fue ocupada por el Observatorio Ixtli, donde se siguen ofreciendo demostraciones y asesorías de realidad virtual, mientras que los desarrollos de aplicaciones con esta tecnología ahora se evalúan en este nuevo laboratorio.

Es decir, la experiencia acumulada durante 20 años por el Observatorio Ixtli, que se integró a la DITE a finales de 2021, se traslada a LAD UNAM.

Durante la inauguración de este nuevo ambiente colaborativo, los asistentes participaron en las demostraciones de las primeras herramientas desarrolladas por la DITE, que ahora están siendo evaluadas en el laboratorio: el Portal de Microscopía Virtual y recursos para estudios de la salud, el sitio web Noticias de la Revolución Mexicana el sitio Matechavos y el Laboratorio Inmersivo de Química con Realidad Virtual.

La apertura de LAD UNAM significa un paso importante hacia la transformación digital de la educación en la universidad.
